2015 trip Woomera

Hello all,
At long last I forced myself to leave St Andrews, at 5.00 am three days ago, and have now reached Woomera.
Although I have been here before, it is such an iconic outback spot that it is always enjoyable.
The is a great collection of old rockets in a place appropriately named "Missile Park".

There is also a museum with memorabilia from the rocket launching and more importantly some Len Beadell memorabilia like his famous hob nail boots which he famously wore without socks.

The story goes when he had meetings with important government officials, he had a pair of cut off socks he could slip over the boots to make a good impression.
Woomera is now a ghost town with hardly any residents.
There are only three shops, one of which is the most unusual op shop I have ever seen. There is a sign on the door saying "Everything one dollar, please leave money in the honesty box".
I bought a magazine, and one of the others bought a yoghurt maker.
There was also a classic photo with posed residents of Woomera done for a magazine
I am having trouble using the Blog App placing photos. Hopefully the next attempt will be better
